Create a Loss Investigation

Inspection > Loss Control > Create a Loss Investigation

Use the following steps to create a loss investigation. A voyage can have a maximum of one investigation, hence, if one already exists, you will not be able to create another one for that voyage.

To create an investigation

1.	Select Trips>Voyages.

The Voyages list is displayed.

2.	Open the voyage you wish to investigate by clicking the Voyage ID.

The voyage details are shown.

3.	Click Actions>Create Loss Investigation.

The Create Loss Investigation page is shown.

4.	Fill in the fields.

In the software, the required fields are marked with an asterisk (*). Since each company can have its own required fields, please look for the asterisk (*) for the required fields. You can look up more information on the fields in Loss Investigation Fields.

5.	Click Save or .
