Inspection > Loss Control > Archive a Loss Investigation
Investigations that have been resolved can be archived in order to store them permanently in the system. Once archived, the investigation can no longer be reopened or modified. Additionally, attachments and notes can no longer be added to this investigation.
An investigation with a status of Closed can still be modified and updated. This is the main difference between Closed and Archived investigations.

In the Investigations list, archived investigations are not included in the search by default. Be sure to check the Include Archived Investigations checkbox to include archived investigations in your search results.

To archive an investigation
| 1. | Select Trips>Loss Control. |
| 2. | Open the investigation you wish to archive by clicking the Investigation Number. |
| 4. | The system asks you to confirm that you wish to archive this investigation. |
