Inspection > Nomination Revisions > Parcel Changes

The changes outlined below are for parcels within a nomination.

info

When you are working with an inspector created worksheet (ICW) nomination, you cannot add new or existing parcels or revise parcel information. For more information, review the fields you cannot edit in Nominations and Parcels.

hmtoggle_plus1Transport, Location, Grade, Quantity, and ETA Changes

When you change the Transport, Location, Grade, Quantity, or ETA fields in a parcel, the following occurs:

The change is considered a critical revision. A new revision of the nomination is created and the version number is incremented to the next whole number.
The inspection company for the parcel is automatically notified via email and is required to accept or decline the new revision.
Inspection companies involved in the nomination but not affected by the parcel revision are sent informative emails, but are not required to take any action.

Changes to the Location

Changes to the location can affect the time log. If the location is changed to match another parcel in the nomination that has the same inspection company, the time logs for each parcel are combined and only one time log is used.

If the location is changed and no other time log exists, the same time log is kept for that parcel. Any information that the inspector has entered is still in the time log.

hmtoggle_plus1Nominated Inspection Company Changes

In a parcel, you can change the inspection company assigned to do the work. The following occurs:

The change is considered a critical revision. A new revision of the nomination is created and the version number is incremented to the next whole number.
If the previous inspection company had accepted the nomination, the previous nomination version is rescinded from inspection company and an email is automatically sent to this inspection company. If the inspection company declined the nomination, then the previous version remains as is and no email is sent. This inspection company cannot see the new nomination version, the new inspection worksheet version, or the new time log.
The nomination is issued to the new inspection company. An email is automatically sent and the inspection company must accept or decline the nomination. The new inspection company can see only the new nomination version.
A new inspection worksheet revision is created for the new inspector.  The new inspection company can see only the new worksheet version.
A new time log revision is created for the new inspection company.  The new inspection company can see only the new time log version.

For more information, see Reassign a Parcel.

hmtoggle_plus1Quality Requirements Changes

In a parcel, you can change the quality test required in the inspection worksheet. The following occurs:

The change is considered a critical revision. A new revision of the nomination is created and the version number is incremented to the next whole number.
A new inspection worksheet is created and the version is incremented to the next whole number.
Any quality results entered by the inspection company in the previous inspection worksheet version for that quality test are not carried forward to the new worksheet revision.
The time log version is incremented to the next whole number.
A revised nomination is issued to the inspection company. An email is automatically sent and the inspection company must accept or decline the nomination.

For more information, see Add a New Parcel to a Nomination or Add an Existing Parcel to a Nomination.

hmtoggle_plus1Parcel Added to an Issued Nomination Change

In an issued nomination, you can add a new parcel. The following occurs:

The change is considered a critical revision. A new revision of the nomination is created and the version number is incremented to the next whole number.
A new inspection worksheet is created.
If the parcel location and ETA are unique, a new time log is created. If the parcel location, ETA and inspection company are the same as another parcel in the nomination, the parcel is associated with the existing time log.
The inspection company for the parcel is automatically notified via email and is required to accept or decline the nomination.
Inspection companies involved in the nomination but not affected by the new parcel are sent informative emails, but are not required to take any action.
The existing inspection worksheets and time logs versions are associated with the new nomination revision.

For more information, see Add a New Parcel to a Nomination or Add an Existing Parcel to a Nomination.

hmtoggle_plus1Parcel Removed from an Issued Nomination Change

In an issued nomination, you can remove a parcel. The following occurs:

The change is considered a critical revision. A new revision of the nomination is created and the version number is incremented to the next whole number.
The inspection company for the parcel is automatically notified via email informing them of the rescinded parcel.
The inspection company can only access the previous version of the nomination.
The previous version of the nomination marks the parcel as Rescinded. The new version does not have the parcel.
The inspection worksheet for the parcel is changed to Rescinded and associated with the previous version of the nomination.

For the time log, if the parcel location was unique, the existing time log is associated with the previous version of the nomination. If another parcel had the same location, the existing time log is carried forward and associated with the new revision of the nomination. However, the inspection company from the removed parcel can no longer access the time log.

For more information, see Remove a Parcel.

hmtoggle_plus1Inspection Invoice Instruction Changes

The following takes place when you change the Inspection Invoice Instructions:

A change to the Invoice Party Bill To is considered a critical revision. A new revision of the nomination is created and the version number is incremented to the next whole number.
The inspection company for the parcel is automatically notified via email informing them of the changed parcel.

Changes to the internal cost allocations are not considered critical revisions. The inspection company is not notified of these changes since they do not have access to the internal cost allocation information.

For more information, see Changing the Inspection Invoice Instructions.
