Inspection > Reports
This section gives information on using the reports in Navarik Inspection. Each report is described. For more information on running a basic report, see Generate a Report. There are different steps for generating a Parcel Report and a Trending Report.
Inspection Results Reports
These reports show parcel quantity and quality data and are typically used by operators, traders, and cargo assurance.
The Quality Results report provides a summary of the quality results from submitted inspection worksheets. The selected date range must be within the last 30 days. Operators and traders can use the report to see a general trend of the inspection results based on grade or location. Note that out-of-spec results are not highlighted on this report. |
The Parcel Report provides a summary of parcels that were nominated in a given date range per business group, desk and operator. The report shows the number of days elapsed between the ETA and the nomination issued date. This report can be used by the cargo assurance group and the management team to gauge operator or inspector performance. For more information, see Generate the Parcel Report. |
This report allows system owners to search and view the results of the Inspector Scorecards. |
This report allows system owners to search and view retests requested for inspections by location, nominated party and activity date. Users can categorize similar retests by using the Retest Reason functionality. |
This report allows system owners to view key quantity and quality data from nominated load parcels. |
This report allows system owners to view key quantity and quality data from nominated discharge parcels. |
This report allows system owners to view a count of the number of inspections by location, activity and inspection company. |
This report allows system owners to view all event times submitted in inspectors' time logs. |
Invoicing
These reports show invoices based on status or vendor and are typically used by invoice approvers, financial operators and cargo assurance.
This report allows financial operators to see a summary of the invoice splits over a certain date range. Invoices with the status of Approved, Submitted for Payment, Paid, or Batched are included. This report includes supplemental invoices. |
This Invoice Summary report shows a summary of all invoices and their status. For companies with the Review Invoices module installed, invoice reviewer is included. Financial operators can use the report to view the total financial obligations for inspection companies and the status of the payment for invoices. |
The On-Charge report provides a summary of invoice charges, grouped by on-charge party. Financial operators can use the report to view the amounts charged for each on-charge party, grouped by currency. Note that grand totals are not included in the report since Navarik Inspection does not have exchange rates. |
The Chain Number Totals report provides a summary of invoice charges, grouped by chain numbers. Financial operators can use the report to see the amounts charged against each chain. Note that subtotals are not included since the report can contain different currencies. |
The Vendor Company Totals report provides a summary of invoice charges grouped by vendors. Financial Operators can use the report to gain an idea on the amounts invoiced by each vendor. Note that subtotals are not included since the report can contain different currencies. |
The Inspection Cost Analysis report summarizes inspection costs and cargo quantities. It also calculates the cost per Barrel for each unique combination of location, business group and voyage. |
Reconciliation
These reports provide a high level view of voyage reconciliation data from Navarik Inspection and are typically used by cargo assurance.
The Cargo Movement report assists with EPA reporting . It compiles parcel details used to quantify the crude, product movements and other details needed for reporting. |
The Monthly Reconciliation Summary report provides a summary of the shore to shore loss or gain for parcels that have been matched (via reconciliation matching) in Navarik Inspection. The summary is reported by load ports or discharge ports and cargo assurance users can use the data to see an aggregate of loss information for a location. Note that the report is always sorted by Load Date. |
This report is also known as the HMC-4 report. It summarizes all load and discharge activity. Results can be submitted to the Energy Institute’s Oil Transportation Measurement Committees annually. The general findings are published each year by the Institute’s Petroleum Review. This report is based on Discharge Quantities. For Load Parcels that have been matched to a Discharge Worksheet, the discharge quantities are used for the report. When generating the report users have the ability to include Load Inspection Worksheets that are not matched to a Discharge Worksheet. |
The Shore to Shore Report provides a summary of Bill of Lading quantities compared to Outturn quantities for matched parcels. It also shows the variances of each shore to shore difference from the EI variance average and translates this variance into a cost amount, based on a given price per barrel. |
The Quality Data Report compares the parcel temperature, API gravity, and density from the load and discharge ports for voyages whose parcels have been matched. Additional quality tests may be included in the report. |
The Voyage Loss/Gain Report shows losses and gains by location and by grade. It can be used to identify locations and grades with frequent losses for analysis so that it can be determined if action is needed to reduce cargo costs. The user generating the report can also view a trending graph of the report results. |
Trending
These reports show quality information on the parcels and quantity information on vessels and ports over a period of time and are typically used by cargo assurance.
For more information on the trending reports, see Trending Report Features.
The Cargo Trending report graphs the inspection results for submitted inspection worksheets against the specifications for the test that were defined in the nomination. Only results from submitted worksheets are included in the report results. Operators and traders use this report to identify trends in quality specifications for different cargo grades. |
The Experience Factors Report shows the reported Vessel Experience Factor (VEF) for vessels used in Navarik Inspection. Only all submitted or quantity tests with submitted inspection results are included in this report. This report can also be used to determine the Terminal Experience Factor (TEF) for terminals used in Navarik Inspection. The Experience Factors Report helps traders who are buying and selling cargo. It allows them to see the potential loss risk of using a certain vessel and/or terminal |
The Laytime report summarizes the duration of time between key events in the timelog. Users can compare the laytime durations for an individual vessel at each of the ports it has visited in order to spot trends in vessel laytime, or to identify and rectify terminals where loading or discharging consistently results in demurrage claims. The report can help avoid demurrage costs by selecting more appropriate vessels or by negotiating favorable freight rates based on laytime and turnaround performance. |
Usage Metrics
These reports show overall statistics regarding users in the system. They are only available to System Administrators.
This report shows a summary of the number of nominations issued for a set date range. The issued nominations are be broken down by nomination type, nomination initiator and grade type. |
The User Accounts report lists user information for selected companies, user roles, and status. Dormant user accounts can also be included in the report. |
The user activity can be used to monitor the login related events (i.e. login, failed login, change password, etc.) and IP addresses for users accessing Navarik Inspection. This can help identify fraudulent login attempts. |
