You must update a nomination template when a slate, inspection appointment, or snippet used in the template has been modified or when another record in the template has been made inactive. Manually updating the template ensures that the template remains as you want it to be. If you try to use the template with an inactive record, you are prompted to select an active record and you are not able to use the inactive record in the nomination.
When you update a template nomination, you can use updated slates or choose to leave the template as you set it up. You must change the inactive records for active records. Until you update the template, when you create a nomination from the template, you are prompted to update the template and must choose active records.
To update a template in the Nomination Template list
| 1. | In the nomination template list, look for the Update Required symbol. |
| 2. | Open the template requiring a change and click Actions>Update Template or . |
| 3. | To keep the current template, select the Keep This Template radio button. |
| 4. | To use the updated data, select the Use These Tests radio button. Select the check boxes for Report Only, Required or Additional for each test. |
| 5. | Update any fields with inactive records. |
To update a template when creating a new nomination
| 2. | If the template requires updating, you are presented with the options for updating the template. |
| 3. | Make any updates as necessary, then click Save and Use Template. |
